This thing’s meant to have the lay of the crown for the best rotating car seat – the best price for features. The manufacturer has added a lot extra to make the Evenflo 360 car seat stand out among the car seats that can be rotated.

The improved 50-lb weight limit extends the riding time for rear-facing, which is considered safer for small kids; the newly added extension panel provides additional comfort and safety (works as an anti-rebound bar in this mode).

3. Value for Money

Is the price tag worth it?

The Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend versions are versatile, rotatable, and extendable in various stages, and extremely well-kitted out in safety, comfort, and installation. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth the price tag? Also yes. If you’re looking for a 360 car seat that pulls out all the stops and is equally safe and comfortable to grow with your kid while still offering a bonus – of course at very little additional cost.

Compared to similar rotating car seats, the Extend versions are competitively priced. Take the Graco Turn2Me for instance. It retails for $449.99, yet the Revolve 360 Extend models are priced the same ($449.99 for the Green version) or less. But all three Extend versions have a higher rear-facing weight limit (50 lbs vs 40 lbs), and a higher booster weight limit (120 lbs vs 100 lbs).

As a result, the Extend makes it into our list of favorite 360 rotation all-in-one car seats. No matter what type of feature you’re in favor of and the price range you can afford, you can always find one from the Evenflo 360 car seats. Priced over $300 or $400, they’re still the cheapest swivel car seats. With bucket-loads of versatility and a feature stack that puts other rotating car seats or expensive car seats to shame, the Revolve360 Extend models are worth the layout.

4. Design

360 Rotation

If you have learned about the positive points of the rotating feature, you’ll be impressed with Evenflo’s 360-degree rotation, which makes the Evenflo car seats stand out in this swivel car seat group.

First, this feature makes it easy to access and buckle your child into the car seat. You can pull it toward the car door to put small infants in and spin it in the back in a rear-facing or forward-facing position. This is very friendly for parents or grandparents who have a backbone problem. You don’t need to bend to put or get the child in or out of the car seat.

Second, you only need to install it once. Just rotate it to front-facing after your kid reaches the rear-facing 50-lb weight limit or 48-inch height limit. That’s a hidden benefit over those rotating car seats with 90-degree rotation (we look at you Graco Turn2Me).

However, the rotating feature is not perfect. It needs more space when rotating. Also, they’re bulky, even though all-in-one car seats have the same problem.

Lastly, the additional features that come with the rotating feature would mean an additional cost for parents who have budgetary constraints. It’s true that car seats that are rotatable are more expensive than traditional car seats. Britax One4Life ($399.99) is considered the most expensive in our database. However, the cheapest 360 car seat – Evenflo Revolve 360 Slim is the only one cheaper than it, at $379.99.

In conclusion, the rotating feature of the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean provides convenience for busy parents who want an easy and safe way to access and attend to their children while on the go.

Extendable Leg rest

Another remarkable feature of the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend is its extended panel, which offers kids more flexibility and convenience during car rides. This feature allows the car seat to accommodate children up to 50 pounds, making it perfect for parents who want to get more mileage out of their car seat investment.

To work with the car seat’s new upgraded 50-lb rear-facing weight limit, the Evenflo designed the Extend models with an extension panel, which allows parents to use it for several years in rear-facing. They won’t have to buy another car seat too soon, which creates a significant cost-saving benefit in the long run.

This feature also makes it possible for parents to keep their young ones rear-facing for an extended period, an added safety benefit for children.

Two hidden benefits of the extension panel are that it can work as an anti-rebound bar when the car seat is installed rear-facing and it helps hold your kid’s legs after switching to forward-facing.

However, the extended feature may have one particular drawback: the car seat may not provide complete comfort for larger children. Children who hit 50 pounds might want to stretch out their legs further, which can be challenging with this car seat.

Therefore, parents should monitor their child’s comfort when using the car seat in an extended position to avoid discomfort over long rides during road trips.

Another point is that the leg rest may take up more space in the car when it’s in the extended position, which means it may not fit into smaller vehicles easily, especially compact cars like sedans.

Dimensions and Width

Based on its specifications, the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean is neither compact nor overly large in design. Measuring 19.8″ (width) x 21″ (depth) x 25.9″ (height) – that’s the same as the OG version, it is slightly larger than the average convertible car seat, but not so much so that it takes up an excessive amount of space in your vehicle.

The car seat’s 19.8″ width is relatively standard for a convertible car seat, meaning that its size does not present an issue for most vehicles. However, some compact cars might have difficulty accommodating the Extend car seat, particularly for narrow rear seats. If that’s your case and you do really want a 360 car seat, the cheaper Revolve 360 Slim might be a good option.

The car seat’s depth is slightly shorter than some other convertible car seats, which is an added benefit for those who care about space management. It is particularly helpful if you have a smaller car or need more carriage space behind the front seats of your vehicle.

In terms of height, the car seat sits higher than only a few convertible car seats, which can be convenient for parents who have difficulty bending down to reach their child. Also, the car seat’s height offers better visibility and increased ease of use, allowing parents to easily pick their child up and attend to their needs.

Portability

At 29.6 pounds, the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean is considered to be slightly heavier compared to other convertible car seats in the market. However, this weight is still acceptable if you need to move between different cars.

But it’s not suggested to carry it around or transport it for air travel, even though it’s FAA approved.

The heavyweight is absolutely a negative aspect of its portability, especially for parents who are always on the go with their kids. There are a lot of car seats that are more portable for easy carrying through busy airports.

The overall portability is very poor but this does not influence its performance to be one of the most comfortable car seats for long road trips. It has ample padding and most important, there is a leg rest, which is adjustable to provide the best fit for your kid.

Two Cup Holders

The Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean comes with built-in cup holders, which can be very practical and convenient for parents who are always on the go. The car seat’s cup holders are designed to hold drinks and snacks, helping to keep your child hydrated and nourished during long car rides.

The cup holders on the Extend models inherit the design from the original version – simple, intuitive, and easy to use. The placement is still the same, being positioned on both sides of the car seat at the edge, within easy reach of the child, allowing them easy access to their favored drinks and snacks.

The cup holders have a non-slip grip, ensuring that drinks and snacks stay put when the car seat rotates or in case of jittery car movements. Made of durable plastic, the cup holders are easy to clean and dishwasher-safe, giving parents a convenient and effortless way to keep the car seat clean, fresh, and tidy.

Even better, the cup holders are deep, making it friendly to hold cups or bottles in different sizes.
The cup holders are built within the armrest area, resulting in the car seat’s wide overall size. But they’re removable for cleaning.

Colors

The Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean comes in three colors, Revere Gray, Rockland Green, and Rowe Pink.

The first two colors are unisex while the last is more feminine, with some pink lines at the edge of the head and body pillow, which can be removable and turn the car seat into a good option for both boys and girls.

The Rockland Green color can be used for either gender as it is a combination of green and gray that are soft, calming, and very elegant. The color may be preferable for parents looking to create a lovely, feminine look for their little girl’s car accessories. However, it could also work for boys, especially if paired with more masculine hues.

On the other hand, the Revere Gray color is a darker tone and is not explicitly associated with any gender preference. It is a versatile color that can be styled up or down to suit any taste ranging from a sophisticated look to a grainy rugged look depending on your preference.

Bonus - Quick Clean Cover

This Extend version in our review features a convenient design – a zip-off seat pad.

Around the edge of the seat pad, there is a zip that is used to remove the cover in seconds. This is a very practical and smart design a lot of parents love.

Here are the tips from the Revolve360 Extend manual to zip-off the cover:

1. Push and hold the harness release button while pulling out on the Harness Straps.

2. Raise headrest and remove elastic straps from around headrest adjustment handle.

3. Remove elastic straps from vehicle belt guides and slide headrest pad over headrest.

4. Pull the harness strap out of the opening in the headrest pad, and remove headrest pad from seat.

5. Unzip the zipper on the sidewing.

6. From behind the headrest, locate the flap at the top of the sidewing and lift up to disconnect hook-andloop fasteners.

7. Remove sidewing, then repeat on other side.

8. If used, remove the Zip-on Cushioned Leg & Foot Rest and Seat Protector Insert.

9. Lift plastic tab on side of shell behind Cup Holder, then remove Cup Holder and repeat on other side.

10. Push Buckle and harness adjustment strap through slots in seat cover. Lift lower seat cover off of shell.

Headrest and Harness - 14 Positions

As an all-in-one car seat that is designed to grow with your child, it’s not a surprise that the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover has multiple positions for the headrest and harness adjustment.

Just like the Gold Revolve 360 version, the Extend with Quick Clean Cover allows for a 14-position headrest adjustment. That’s many and beating most car seats on the market, including our favorite Graco 4Ever DLX’s 10 positions.

I’m not complaining about it, but you won’t believe this – it’s one position fewer than the Revolve360 Slim, which is a 2-in-1 convertible car seat with a maximum 65-pound weight capacity and 49-inch height limit.

The car seat’s headrest adjusts with the harness, which means that you can adjust both using the same mechanism. The easy adjustability means that you can make changes without distracting your child or having to remove the car seat from the car.

The multiple positions available in the headrest and harness mean that as your child grows, you can continue using the car seat by adjusting it to fit your kid’s size and growth.

Reclines - 4 Positions

The Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend car seat has four recline positions, for rear-facing only. To adjust the recline, you need to use the recline handle, which is located at the top of the back of the car seat. Here’s how to adjust the recline:

Squeeze the recline adjustment handle, pull up slightly on the back of the car seat, and then push down quickly and firmly on the car seat back.

The four recline positions are designed to provide the best fit for your little one, depending on their age and size. The car seat is designed to be used in the fully upright position for older children, but smaller infants may need a more reclined position to ensure that their head and neck are properly supported.

Move the the rear-facing installation to learn how the manufacturer suggests reclining the Revolve 360 Extend car seat.

Head Pillow and Body Pillow

The Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is a convertible car seat designed to accommodate infants, toddlers, and older children. The car seat features a body pillow that makes it comfortable and safe for infants.

The body pillow is a cushioned pad that provides additional support and comfort for infants who are too small for the car seat without it. The insert cushions the baby’s head, back, and hips, providing a secure and comfortable fit. The pillow is removable, and as your baby grows, it can be adjusted or removed to provide additional space.

The Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover also includes a head pillow, and a buckle cover to enhance comfort and improve the fit for infants. The head pillow provides additional support for your baby’s head and neck, helping to prevent head slumping during naps. On the other hand, the buckle cover protects your baby’s sensitive skin from the metal buckles and keeps the straps from twisting as well.

These infant accessories in the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover are easy to use and remove. They offer a secure and snug fit for your baby while ensuring that they are comfortable and well-protected while traveling in the car. The infant insert and other accessories are machine washable, making cleaning and maintenance of the car seat trouble-free.

Padding

The Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is designed with a variety of different padding elements that provide extra comfort for your child during car rides. The car seat is made with a combination of foam padding and fabric upholstery.

The foam padding within the car seat ensures that your child is well-supported and comfortable during extended periods of car travel. The padding provides additional shock absorption, which could come in extremely handy during an accident.

Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover has a padded headrest that covers the entire seat surface leading to the back of the car seat, ensuring that your child is safe and comfortable throughout the journey.

Made of high-quality, synthetic, and machine-washable material, the seat pad is soft and comfortable to the touch. The fabric is also easy to clean and maintain, ensuring that your car seat stays looking good as new.

As a highly-priced car seat, the Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is one of the most comfortable car seats with plenty of padding that adds to the car seat’s overall comfort level. The padding is thick and provides ample cushioning, helping absorb shock to keep your child safe in the event of an accident or crash and ensuring that your child is comfortable even during long car rides.

The Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover offers a combination of foam padding and fabric upholstery, ensuring your child remains comfortable and safe while traveling. The foam padding provides shock absorption and support, while the synthetic fabric upholstery offers softness and easy cleaning. The thickness of the padding ensures that the car seat provides ample cushioning for your child, while the spill-resistant fabric keeps the car seat looking new for longer.

Overall, the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is an effective and comfortable car seat that ensures your child remains safe and comfortable throughout every car journey.

The Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover has been rigorously tested and meets international safety standards, ensuring you can trust that your child is safe and secure while traveling.

6. Performance

Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Cover Cover Weight and Height Limits

As the original version, the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is a versatile car seat that can be used for rear-facing, forward-facing, and booster, accommodating your child’s growth and development.

For rear-facing mode, the car seat accommodates children from 4 to 50 pounds and 17 to 48 inches in height. Rear-facing mode is recommended for infants and young children as it offers better protection for their neck and head.

In forward-facing mode, the car seat accommodates children from 22 to 65 pounds and 28 to 49 inches in height. This mode is suitable for toddlers or young children who have outgrown the rear-facing mode but are not yet ready for the booster seat.

For booster mode, the car seat accommodates children from 40 to 120 pounds and 44 to 57 inches in height. This mode is ideal for older children who have outgrown the previous modes but still require a booster seat to ensure proper positioning of the seat belt for optimal protection.

It is crucial to note that age and weight are just guidelines for choosing a car seat, while your child’s height and comfort factor are also important. Always check your car seat manual to determine the weight and height limits of your car seat regularly to determine whether it is still suitable for your child.

Stage / Modes

The Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is an all-in-one car seat, meaning it can be used in various stages, including a rear-facing harness, forward-facing harness, and belt-positioning booster.

Each stage has weight and height limits for guidelines so that you can always use the car seat for optimal protection. Never too soon nor too late to switch the car seat to the next stage.

Rear-facing is considered the safest and it’s recommended to keep your child rear-facing for as long as possible. Luckily, the Revolve 360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover (and the other two Extend models) have a great rear-facing weight limit – up to 50 lbs, extending the rear-facing harness, to your kid’s 2 or 3 years, even 4 years of age.

The performance of the other two stages is very average as other all-in-one car seats. The 120-pound is exceptional but there are a few models that feature this high weight limit as well.

Age Range

The Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is designed for infants, toddlers, and older children, and it accommodates different age ranges depending on the mode in which the car seat is used.

The age limit is not given by the manufacturer but we can have an estimated range based on the weight and height limit for each stage.

Rear-facing: 4-50 lbs/ 48″. It can be used for newborns and young children approximately two years of age. Some small toddlers can use this car seat at 3 or 4 years of age.

Forward-facing: 22-65 lbs/ 49″. In forward-facing mode, the car seat is intended for toddlers and young children approximately two to five years of age.

Belt-positioning booster: 40-120 lbs/ 57″. From the height and weight limits, the Revolve 360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is able to accommodate children between four to twelve years of age. Actually, this is the only stage with an age requirement – your child must be at least 4 years old to use the car seat in booster mode.

Big kids older than 8 years of age would not like to sit in a car seat. The federal laws do not require that as well – most US states have clear statements that children under 8 years old to use a booster or same-level child restraint system.

Age is not the deciding factor to consider when selecting a car seat. Your child’s weight, height, and fit within the car seat should also be taken into account when deciding which mode and which car seat to use. Always refer to the car seat manual and ensure that the car seat is still suitable for your child regularly.

Airplane

Is Evenflo Revolve360 Extend FAA approved for airplane use?

Yes, the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is approved for use in airplanes. The new models of Extend series and Slim series are all certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and meet their strict safety requirements for use on aircraft.

As far as I know, they are the only 360 car seats that can be used on airplanes. Other rotating car seats, including the original version of the Evenflo Gold Revolve 360 car seat, are not FAA-approved.

However, when using the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover on an airplane, it is important to keep in mind that the car seat needs to meet specific size requirements. The car seat must fit in the airplane seat properly and must not block any access to emergency exits.

Most airlines will check the airplane approval label to confirm the car seat can be used on the airplane and they probably have specific policies regarding the use of car seats during the flight, so it’s essential to check with your airline’s requirements before you travel with your Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover on their flights.

Lifespan

How long is Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend good for

As with all car seats, the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover has an expiration date after which it should no longer be used – 10 years after the date of manufacture.

The real-use life expectancy of the car seat depends on several factors, including the model year, frequency of use, and exposure to heat, sunlight, and other environmental factors. That means the actual use time should be shorter than 10 years.

The expiration date of the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover is located on a sticker on the side of the car seat. The sticker contains the date of manufacture and other information about the car seat. You can also find information about the expiration date in the car seat manual, which comes with the car seat or is downloadable online.

It is crucial to follow the car seat expiration date to ensure that the car seat is in optimal condition, and its components remain effective in protecting your child. Using an expired car seat could compromise your child’s safety in the event of an accident.

Warranty

Typically, Evenflo provides only 90 days of warranty for its common products, like the EveryFit 4-in-1 car seat, Maestro Sport 2-in-1 harness booster, Sonus 65 and Tribute 5 convertible car seat, LiteMax 35 infant car seat, etc.

But for the Gold series, the manufacturer is very generous and provides a warranty of lifetime – the same long-lasting as the car seat’s lifespan, if you’ll register the car seat within the 3-month purchase. This includes the Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend models – the Quick Clean Cover version, the SensorSafe version, and the Green version.

7. Evenflo Revolve360 Extend Installation

Before starting to install the car seat, you may where to put it. The center of the back seat is commonly considered the safest position to install a car seat.

So, if possible, install the car seat on that spot. If that seat is not applicable for a proper installation, for instance lacking a shoulder belt for the booster mode installation, either seat on the side would be safe. You may choose any of them based on your family’s and kid’s needs.

However, if you’re a big family with several kids in a car seat, for instance, having three car seats in the same row in the back seat, the window seat would be better.

Installing a 360 car seat can be very different from installing common convertible car seats because you need to install it one time. Now follow these steps to install the Revolve 360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover.

These steps quoted from manual are for referrance only. If you have any questions on installation, please contact the manufacturer for help. Always follow the instructions from the manufacturer for a proper car seat installation.

Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend Installation

Installing Evenflo Revolve360 Extend is basically to install the base, then you can follow the steps above to remove or install the shell to the base.

So, it’s understandable that the shell can’t be used alone in the car seat. It MUST work with the base. This is very different from the relationship between the infant car seat carrier and its base.

There are three methods to install the Revolve 360 Extend base, with a lap/shoulder belt system (best recommended), lap belt, and LATCH (UAS).

Also: ALWAYS USE A TETHER STRAP FOR INSTALLATION. This helps to stablize the base.

Install Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend in Booster Mode

After converting the car seat to booster mode – remove and store the harness, now follow the below steps to install it in this mode.

1. BEFORE installing Car Seat, make sure vehicle is on level ground.

2. Before placing Car Seat in vehicle, remove Seat Shell from Base.

IMPORTANT: You may use the Tether Strap and Lower Anchor Connectors to secure this booster seat to the vehicle seat as long as the position of the booster seat in the vehicle and/or the resulting fit of the vehicle seat belt over the child are not affected.

3. Remove LATCH/UAS anchors from storage locations on back side of base. Remove each connector by pulling out on red release strap.

4. Remove Tether from Tether Storage Location under the Base and place the Base in an approved rear vehicle seating location. Make sure the Base lies flat on the vehicle seat and firmly up against the seat back.

5. Locate the Tether Anchor in your vehicle and loosely attach the Tether Hook to the Tether Anchor.

6. Squeeze handle on LockStrong belt tensioner until lock indicator turns RED, then lift up on belt tensioner to allow access to the belt path.

7. Attach LATCH/UAS Connectors to vehicle Lower Anchor Bars. Connectors will make an audible CLICK when attached. Make sure they are attached by pulling firmly on connectors. If equipped with Mini-Latch, DO NOT pull on red Release Strap.

8. Push Base against vehicle seat back. Tension LATCH/UAS Strap by pulling on loop until snug, making sure not to overtighten.

9. After tightening LATCH/UAS, secure excess strap under the LockStrong.

10. Apply pressure to fully close the LockStrong. The lock indicator will turn GREEN when fully closed. NOTE: If belt tensioner does not fully close (lock indicator still RED), open the LockStrong and try loosening the LATCH/UAS strap slightly.

11. Pull the Tether Adjuster Strap to tighten.

12. Install Seat Shell to Base, move seat to most reclined position and rotate FORWARDFACING, then lock into position.

13. Confirm that the seat is in a locked position by checking that the Seat Lock Indicator is GREEN.

Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend Manual

The user manual is the most important thing you need to make sure it’s included in the package. You should always read the user manual before starting to install and use it for riding your child.

The Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend manual is stored in a small storage slot on the back of the seat, just below the recline adjuster. But you can always find the online user manual on its official website, or download the PDF here.

The car seat manual for the Extend series is the same, with different sections explaining the different features.

For example, if you choose the QCC version, you can find the part on how to remove and re-install the seat pad with the zip-off design; If the SensorSafe version chosen, move to the instructions on how to use this smart technology for safety extras;
