Evenflo EveryFit 4-in-1 Car Seat for Girls

Evenflo EveryFit

The Good
The Bad

$199.99

Evenflo EveryFit is a real 4-in-1 car seat that car goes through three car seat stages in four modes: rear-facing, forward-facing, and booster  (high back and backless).

I believe this Evenflo car seat could be the only car seat you need as it will accommodate a newborn to the day he or she does not need a car seat. It’s an all-in-one car seat that has a great size limit with long durability.

The 40lbs/40″ rear-facing weight/height limits perform well and make Evenflo EveryFit a good car seat with extended rear-facing. Actually, all the convertible and all-in-one car seats can do this. They have a higher rear-facing size limit than infant car seats and typically are outgrown around a toddler’s 2 years of age.

The Evenflo EveryFit is one of the best car seats with a 5-point harness for up to 120 pounds. That’s the weight limit in booster mode. Along with the 57″ height limit, the EveryFit is good for tall kids and it’s one of the best car seats for 7 years old. Plus, there is a backless mode available if your little one prefers to pretend to have a seat belt for security in the car.

The installation is easier than in previous models. LATCH way performs better. I also love how easy it is to buckle the kid in. The buckle makes a clear click that is easy to connect and disconnect. The release button also doesn’t jam up like others and gets released with less effort. The harness covers are a little smaller and less substantial for toddlers.

The extra cushions and the cup holders and one including the small tray would be great for big toddlers to store their juices and snacks. This Evenflo car seat has two cup holders. They are removable, so if getting dirty, you can detach them from the hollow and put them in a dishwasher for cleaning.

The Evenflo EveryFit is one of the best affordable car seats. You sometimes can get it under $200 when it’s on sale promotion. That’s more than $100 cheaper than another 4-in-1 car seat – Graco 4Ever DLX. If you don’t have much budget for a car seat, consider this Evenflo car seat.

But you should know that you get what you pay for. It only provides very basic and standard protection with a few comfortable additions like head and body support. That’s better than Diono Radian 3R at (only) this aspect.

Gold Revolve360 Extend - Best Rotatable Evenflo Car Seat

Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend Rotating All-in-one Car Seat

Evenflo Revolve360 Extend with QCC

Key Features
The Good
The Bad

$399.99

The Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend with Quick Clean Cover  is definitely a game-changer in car seats. This is a kind of premium Evenflo car seat. The Evenflo Gold Revolve360 is on the pricier side, with an innovative 360-degree rotatable design and a few extra safety and comfort features.

You know that this Evenflo car seat is very different from other normal car seats from Evenflo and other car seat brands. It has a large base and the car seat should be placed on it to achieve the purpose of rotating for 360-degree

The Evenflo created this product line and gave it a name called Gold. Evenflo car seats in this series can be foldable and portable for travel. The Evenflo Gold Revolve360 is an all-in-one car seat. It has the same size limits as the EveryFit: 40lbs/40″ for rear-facing; 65lbs/49″ for forward-facing; 120lbs/57″ for booster. It’s also a good car seat for tall babies to stay rear-facing for a longer time.

The Evenflo Gold Revolve360 seems to be easier to install than other Evenflo car seats because of its unique Sure360 Safety Installation System. This installation system includes two parts. One is the LockStong bar that is used to connect and lock the car seat base on the seat. This works like the LATCH connectors to a car seat. The other is the Tether360 which helps keep the rotatable seat positioned and secure in the base.

There is an easy-to-read indicator on the side, letting you know whether the car seat is locked securely or not. If not, the icon shows an opened lock, meaning you can rotate the car seat to find a perfect position. Then you can press it down to lock the car seat.

The seat itself is pretty heavy duty, giving us a positive impression that it is well built for long-lasting. And when it rotates, it seems as light as a feather even with the child in the seat! Never push hard when your little one is in the seat.

Chase Harnessed Booster - Best Evenflo Booster Seat

Evenflo Maestro Sport

Evenflo Chase

Key Features
The Good
The Bad

$99.99

Here is the case from my friend Lucy. Last month she rode her little boy home from her grandparents but was crashed by another car at 70 mph.

The car was totaled. Luckily, she and the boy were okay. She has a good habit of wearing seatbelts for every ride and the airbags deployed when the crash happened. The little boy was sitting in an Evenflo Chase harness booster and is fine. No bruises, not sore at all. He was not affected at all.

She tells me that she a bit doubted the car seat’s protection when she received the box because this Evenflo is inexpensive and there isn’t as much padding as her previous infant seat, even though she knows this car seat was manufactured in the US. We should believe in US-made car seats’ quality anyway.

If you want a US-made toddler car seat that is low-priced, you should have a look at the Evenflo Chase harness booster. It’s one of the cheapest car seats under $200.

The price does not compromise security. The Evenflo Chase harness booster meets safety standards and delivers basic protection. It has a sturdy frame and fusion cushion, doing its best to protect your little one and provide max comfort.

It seems streamlined and has a narrow profile. With the widest point reaching 18.5 inches, this Evenflo car seat is not as narrow as those slim car seats to fit 3 across. But it’s doable if you have a large SUV.

It’s a lightweight car seat. Weighing only 9.14 pounds, the Evenflo Chase is easy to carry and switches from car to car. You’ll have no problem traveling with this car seat. It’s FAA approved to use on a plane in the 5-point harness mode.

There are three color options. If you prefer a pink colored car seat for your little girl, the Jayden is a good choice. Click to view more pink car seats for girls if you’d like to explore this topic.

When do Evenflo Car Seats Expire

How long Evenflo car seats are good mainly depends on the types and models.

Evenflo infant car seats are good for 6 years of use from the date of manufacture.

Older models of Evenflo convertible car seats are good for 6 years since the date of manufacture. Evenflo all-in-one convertible car seats last longer, older models like the Platinum Symphony LX have an 8-year lifespan. But most Evenflo all-in-one car seats are good for 10 years from the date of manufacture.

The same case happens to Evenflo booster seats. Some older models have a 6-year usable life, some have 8 years, and the longest is 10 years, depending on the specific model.

We have created a post that lists the lifespan of all Evenflo car seats. You can click to explore more details.

Or you can directly find the expiration date of your Evenflo car seat on a white sticker on the back or side

Where to install Evenflo Car Seats

If possible, you should first choose to install the Evenflo car seat in the center of the back seat. That spot is considered the safest position to install a car seat

It’s furthest from the sides and the front. Crash energy would decrease a lot when reaching this position. Along with the car seats for protection, your little one would be safe.

However, make sure you can install the Evenflo car seat PROPERLY in this seating position. If not, you can install it on either window seat.

Installing the Evenflo car seat PROPERLY is more important than choosing the placement.

Evenflo Car Seats Buying Guide

What are the factors you should consider before making the final decision to buy an Evenflo car seat? What’s more important to you and your child?

Here we list some tips in this short buying guide. You can keep them in mind when choosing an Evenflo car seat or any other car seats.

Safety

This is the #1 thing you should confirm with the car seat. Luckily, all Evenflo car seats have passed the crash test under  the federeal safety standards – FMVSS 213.

Most car seat brands will add extra safety features for enhanced protection. So does the Evenflo.

All the Eevnflo car seats have a sturdy metal frame, except those backless boosters. Along with plently of cushion around the backrest and bottom portion for energy absorption, the Evenflo car seats have a solid build that delivers optimal protection.

Side impact protection is a good point. The more layers, the more protective, the better.

Most Evenflo car seats have two layers of side impact protection.

That’s all. Even the $300 Evenflo Gold Revolve360 is not an exception.

Evenflo car seats have very basic safety features. Other car seats from other brands have these features as well. Very few will have more, for example, Graco’s ProtectPlus, the Diono’s more layers of side impact protection.

Install

We have this for the #2 factor because we all know that proper installation means a lot for optimal protection. It’s even more important than additional safety features.

You can simply imagine this. Improper car seat installation means nothing; the car seat won’t work normally at all if not properly installed, not mention the bonus functions.

There are two methonds to install the Evenflo car seats: use the LATCH or seat belt. NEVER use both.

It’s a pity that the Evenflo car seats only have the common LATCH connectors and seat belt for installation. They don’t have rigid LATCH attachment or seat belt locking system.

The Evenflo Gold Revolve360 is a very different car seat. It has an installation system, making it much easier to install properly and tightly.

Size Limits

This is the best place to save money, even though Evenflo car seats are affordable. You can still save money by choosing a car seat with great size limits without compromising safety.

Evenflo car seats perform best in this aspect.

The Evenflo all-in-one car seats have a 120lbs/57″ size limit. They’re designed to grow with your child and can be used for good years. Taking EveryFit for example, a 120lbs/57″ size limit can last from your child’s birth to the day when they don’t need a car seat. It’s also a 4-in-1 car seat that can be switched to a backless booster.

The Evenflo booster seats also have a good 110lbs/57 size limit. No problem to ride your child to 7 or 8 years old when they are big enough to have a seat belt for security.

Fabric

Let me start with a question: machine wash or hand wash, which do you prefer?

I think you have your answer. Machine washable fabric save you time so that you can spend more time with your precious.

Luckily, the Evenflo car seats meet this criterion.

FAQs on Evenflo Car Seats

Are Evenflo car seats safe?

Of course, all Evenflo car seats are manufactured and crash tested under the applicable federal safety standards. They are safe to use. Some Evenflo car seats have side impact protection.

Is Evenflo a good baby brand?

Yes. You can trust Evenflo. It’s a good baby car seat brand with a long history and lots of experience. The Evenflo car seats are reliable with necessary safety features and good quality for max comfort. Evenflo manufactures baby gear and car seats for affordable prices.

How long do Evenflo infant car seats last?

All Evenflo car seats expire 6-10 years following their date of manufacture, depending on the type

The Evenflo infant car seats last for the shortest 6 years. Convertible car seats and booster seats last longer between 8-10 years. The all-in-one car seats last the longest at 10 years of usable life.

What is the safest Evenflo car seat on the market?

Evenflo Gold SensorSafe EveryStage is the safest Evenflo car seat on the market. It has a solid build with a metal frame and thick padding. The included EasyClick LATCH connectors are good to achieve a tight and proper installation.

Plus, the SensorSafe reminds you of any possible unsafe things, like loose chest clips or leaving the baby in the car for over 2 hours, or even hot inside conditions in the car.

Is Evenflo a good car seat brand?

Evenflo is a well-known car seat brand for manufacturing infant, convertible, and booster car seats that pack some serious bang for the buck. The build quality tends to be moderate, as do comfort, features, versatility, and safety features.

How do I know if my Evenflo car seat is expired?

You can find the expiration date of your Evenflo car seat on a label attached to the car seat on the back or side, as well as in the user manual.

Evenflo car seats expire after 6, 8, or 10 years after the date of manufacture, depending on the car seat types.

Is there a recall on Evenflo car seats?

If Evenflo found any potential risk in its car seats, they recall the faulty car seats. Check the recalled Evenflo car seats listed above to see the details.

You can register the car seat to receive first-hand recall information if your Evenflo car seat is on recall.

How do I convert my Evenflo car seat to a booster?

If your Evenflo car seat belongs to the all-in-one or combination type, you can convert the Evenflo car seat to a booster when your little boy or girl reaches the 65-pound weight limit or 49-inch height limit in forward-facing 5-point harness mode.

Follow the instructions in the user manual, or see the video below for tips.

Can you use Evenflo 360 car seat without a base?

No, you can’t. The Evenflo Gold Revolve360 car seat must be used with the base. That’s easy to understand. Most convertible car seats have a built-in base for adjustable reclines.

The Evenflo 360 car seat has a detachable base to work with the car seat. The base is not sold separately. That’s a shame.

To confirm the car seat is locked into place, you should use the Red/Green seat lock indicator. Make sure the indicator turns green. That’s the only sign to affirm the car seat is locked correctly into the base.

Is Evenflo or Graco safer?

Graco is definitely the winner.

The Graco seems safer because it offers more safety features, like the ProtectPlus technique that will provide protection even in rollover accidents. Also, Graco seems more sturdy with a solid build and lots of padding.

When can I turn my Evenflo car seat forward?

If you have an Evenflo car seat that can be turned forward facing, make sure your child meets the minimum age, height, or weight requirement for that direction.

All Evenflo car seats require a minimum weight of 22 pounds for forward-facing car seat use. You’ll find this weight limit detail for your car seat in the product instructions and on the labels of the car seat and in the manual, along with the age and height limit details.

Generally, we’ll recommend you use the Evenflo convertible car seat as long as possible because rear-facing is safer than forward-facing. If your Evenflo car seat has a 40lbs/40″ rear-facing weight or height limit, the little passenger can still use this car seat on the second birthday in rear-facing.

Where are Evenflo car seats made?

Most Evenflo car seats are made in the USA, while a few are made in China. The origin information is listed in the product details, or you can contact the manufacturer for confirmation.
